Spanish Riding School
Spanish Riding School
Another highlight of the Hofburg is the famous Spanish Riding School. It is not for nothing that the 18th-century court stables are called the "most beautiful riding hall in the world". This is because the magnificent Baroque building, which dates back to Charles VI, provides a glamorous backdrop for a unique show.

After all, visitors here experience a ballet of a special kind. Because instead of delicate ballerinas, there are the famous Lipizzaner horses to admire in the "Ballet of the White Stallions".
To the sounds of classical Viennese music, these well-trained stallions charm the audience with a perfectly formed Pas de Deux and other feats!
But also the training of the dancers is worth seeing! During the so-called "morning work" you can watch the stallions training every day.
Another option is the "Guided Tour" for those who want to know exactly. Here you will get a detailed look behind the scenes of the Spanish Riding School, with its architecture and its history.
