But also the surrounding alleys and squares such as Stephansplatz, Petersplatz, Kohlmarkt, Naglergasse and Tuchlauben, are important shopping addresses in Vienna! Like the Graben itself, they also radiate the same flair of elegant and exclusive tradition in terms of design and gourmet.
Some of the oldest stores on Graben still date back to the Imperial and Royal period. These include, for example, establishments such as the Nägele&Strubell perfumery, the Augarten porcelain manufactory and the Heldwein jeweler.

But also a branch of Liska, the Viennese specialist for fine furs, is located on the exclusive shopping street. For a shopping break in between, we recommend Café Hawelka, which is located in Dorotheergasse just a few steps away from the Graben.

For gourmet lovers, there are also two exclusive addresses on Graben. Firstly, there is the Altmann&Kühne confectionery, founded in 1928, Viennese specialist for the mini sweets called "Liliputkonfekt". But even the packaging, based on designs by the Wiener Werkstätte, is a sensation at Altmann&Kühne.

Another sight on Graben is the culinary Gesamtkunstwerk Meinl am Graben, "Austria's first address for gourmets and connoisseurs". Here you will find the finest culinary delicacies from around the world on three stylish floors, as well as a chic café and a hot buffet for a quick lunch.

But nowadays, even those with a smaller purse can get their money's worth when shopping on Graben. Today, international chains such as H&M, Zara, BijouBrigitte, Yves Rocher and Starbucks have also taken up residence in the historic buildings on Graben.
