THE ART HISTORY MUSEUM
The Kunsthistorisches Museum is located next to the Hofburg Palace in the center of Vienna. It contains the extensive art collections of the imperial house. Among them is the world's largest collection of works by Bruegel.
This museum, steeped in history, brings together important masterpieces of the history of Western art. For example, here you can admire the famous "Painting" by Vermeer or the "Madonna in the Green" by Raphael. In addition, the Picture Gallery houses unique portraits of infantes by Velazquez. But also Titian, Dürer, Rembrandt and collections of antiquity, Egyptian art or Orientalism can be found.

There are fascinating treasures to be unearthed here. For example, you can admire the history of money in the coin cabinet. And the museum library is a paradise for bookworms.
As a special attraction, the Habsburg Treasury was also reopened in 2013. This is one of the most important art collections in the world. And that's because it contains treasures from every conceivable era.
In total, the Kunsthistorisches Museum includes objects from seven millennia. Whether you are interested in the ancient Egyptians or rather in the 18th century? In any case, you get your money's worth at the KHM!
