Cafe Sperl
CAFE SPERL
Café Sperl is a particularly glamorous representative of Viennese coffeehouse culture. Located on Gumpendorferstraße in the 6th district near the Naschmarkt, Café Sperl has been an absolute hotspot for all the big names since it opened in 1880.

As early as the 19th century, this cozy and elegant café counted not only archdukes but also field marshals, intellectuals and artists among its regular guests. Even today, literary figures or musical stars from the Theater an der Wien can be met in the beautiful coffee house vault on Gumpendorferstrasse.
It was not for nothing that Sperl was voted "Coffeehouse Of The Year" by star food critic Roy Ackerman in 1988. Because here you can escape from everyday life in the middle of Vienna. And you can do so by immersing yourself in the good old days over a delicious melange.
Also recommended is a piece of the original Sperl Torte. And if you can still get up from your armchair afterwards, there are billiard tables for leisurely diversion. Here in the world-famous Viennese living room for artists and creative people, everyone will find a place to feel good!
