Angelibad lido
Angelibad lido
In the Floridsdorf district, the Angelibad lido is a popular summer attraction for young and old. Located on the banks of the Danube, the Angelibad is a true bathing paradise!
For it has not only a 500-meter beach, but also a spacious facility for various sports and recreational activities. These include, for example, tennis courts and a miniature golf course. But the recreational area is also designed for soccer, beach volleyball and basketball.
For the more adventurous, the Angelibad even has a slush area and a pirate ship. But also the swimmers do not miss out in the Angelibad! The Danube offers endless swimming lanes with excellent water temperatures. Moreover, the water quality is constantly monitored during the bathing season.

But apart from the natural swimming opportunities, there is also a toddlers' pool for the most vulnerable bathers. Sunbaths are available for relaxation. And if the stomach growls, you can refresh yourself at a buffet!
Originally, this bathing place has existed since 1888, when it was founded under the name "Birn'sches Vier-Kreuzer-Bad" by the owner of the Birner beach inn.
It was not until 1929 that the bath was renamed Angelibad after the Viennese local councillor Hans Angeli. And as such it is known and appreciated by the Viennese population today.
You can easily reach Angelibad via bus line 20B, which also stops at the neighboring lidos.
