Cafe Prückel Wien

Already a design masterpiece in the Hans Makart style, the Prückel was redesigned after World War II by Viennese architect Oswald Haerdtl. In the process, the impressive Art Nouveau ceiling at the back of the café was also renovated.

Due to its close proximity to the MAK, the University of Applied Arts and Vienna's gallery district, the Prückel is also a place for people who create and are interested in art. But the café itself also promotes the arts through concerts and literary events. Thus, the Prückel is an important hub of the Viennese cultural scene.
