DSCHUNGEL VIENNA
The Jungle Vienna is a theater house for children and young people. In this theater in the Museumsquartier, young theater fans can get to know the entire spectrum of the performing arts. Children as young as 2 years old are offered a program specially tailored to their needs. But productions for the whole family can also be seen here. Afterwards, the Dschungel Wien Café offers all kinds of delicacies!
CABARET NIEDERMAIR
In addition to the well-known cabaret scene, you will also find performances for young audiences at Kabarett Niedermair. For children, there are productions of Astrid Lindgren children's books. Well-known children's theater groups such as Marko Simsa, Pipifax or Schneck und Co are also guests here.
VIENNESE KASPERLTHEATER
Punch, Pezi, the grandmother, the gendarme, the crocodile - for 250 years these beloved hand puppet characters have been a fixed part of the lives of many generations of children in Vienna. And they're all still here! "Are you all there?" calls the mischievous Kasperl in the original Vienna Praterkasperl at Wurstelplatz. And he does so every Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday. But the exciting adventures of Kasperl & Co are also played daily at the Vienna Urania Puppet Theater.
At the Figurentheater Lilarum there are more refined variations of Viennese puppet theater for children from 3 to 10 years. The main program is made up of 25 in-house productions, but international puppeteers are also guests here!
MARIONETTE THEATER SCHÖNBRUNN
Precious marionettes with imperial flair, can be seen in the puppet theater of Schönbrunn. A visit to this marionette theater is an experience for the whole family. Because the marionettes are not only supported by the latest technology and the best dexterity. The program is also top-class children's opera.
THEATER OF THE YOUTH
In the Theater der Jugend in the Renaissancetheater in Neubaugasse, there is a wide range of spoken theater at the top European level! Founded in 1932, the theater is considered Europe's largest theater for young audiences. As such, it offers performances of well-known thrillers by Hitchcock and Co or children's classics by Kästner and Nöstlinger.
SARGFABRIK
As a house of culture, the Sargfabrik offers a special program for children every Wednesday! Because then well-known children's theater groups give here their arts to the best. Here, the little spectators can simply be enchanted!
CHILDREN'S MUSICALS FROM THEATER HEUSCHRECK
The legendary Viennese jazz venue "Porgy & Bess" in downtown Vienna, shows itself for the little ones in a whole new light! Because Theater Heuschreck brings its fascinating, self-written children's musicals in all their colorful glory to the jazz club. The themes usually have a topical reference and are presented at the highest level - for the youngest musical fans!
