ERNST FUCHS MUSEUM IN THE OTTO WAGNER VILLA

Located on Hüttelbergstrasse in the beautiful villa neighborhood of Vienna's Penzing district, the legendary Otto Wagner Villa stands out as the personal masterpiece of Vienna's world-famous Art Nouveau pioneer.

Visitors can see this fantastic villa today as the Ernst Fuchs Museum. The Austrian artist Ernst Fuchs was able to save the magnificent building from decay and renovate it. Thus, when you visit the villa, you will experience the unique fusion of the life and work of Otto Wagner with the transcendental art of Franz Fuchs.

ERNST FUCHS MUSEUM IN DER OTTO WAGNER VILLA

The painter and architect has awakened the house from its slumber, giving it his own personal touch. As the founder of the Viennese School of Fantastic Realism, he does his art credit in this museum and as a visitor you are immersed in a world all of your own.

This world tells stories of days long gone, when upscale social circles came and went here in the interwar years. Then the villa also tells of World War 2 and the occupation of the house by Nazi officials. The subsequent years of Sleeping Beauty also influence the mystical atmosphere of the villa.

Since the place served the artist Ernst Fuchs as his personal studio until 1986, it also documents the artistic development of the "fantastic realist".
In this respect, you will also gain unique insights into the life's work of Franz Fuchs during a tour of the magnificent and historic premises.

In this museum you will get historical and artistic impressions, which at the same time have a very personal and private setting. Therefore, a visit to the Franz Fuchs Museum is definitely something special!
